Grandma & Emily

Today is the 91st anniversary of my maternal grandmother's birth. She died over two years ago in September, 2003 of Alzheimer's Disease. I didn't know her that well, but I do know that she was a wonderful, beloved wife and mother of 10 beautiful children. She worked hard for her family, and she will always be missed.

Today is also the one-year anniversary of Emily's due date. She came into our lives two days early. (I truly think she would have been even earlier had I not been so gosh-darned sick during those three weeks leading up to her birth!!) Emily & I came home from the hospital on this day last year. This means that Emily has lived in this house for one year exactly! I just hope she's enjoyed living here and being a part of our little family.
