5 Years Ago Today...
... we were at Mom & Dad Lawless' Poway house eating Round Table Pizza pizza and Submarina sandwiches. (What's with Round Table lately? ;-)
That's how we celebrated our wedding rehearsal. Some scoffed at the idea of having pizza and submarine sandwiches for a rehearsal dinner, but we didn't care. That's what we wanted and that's what we got! I had always wanted really looonnngg Submarina sandwiches -- you know, 6-foot-long ones or so, and that was the perfect opportunity. We also ordered tons of pizza, bought tons of beer and soda, and had a blast!
5 years ago today. Wow.

Happy Anniversary guys! Can't believe it's been five years. :) I loved your rehearsal dinner and your wedding and reception. I remember how cool it was to have the Mariachi band and the Irish dancers at the reception. You guys are awesome!!!
I don't blame you for not wanting to leave Emily. I started leaving mine with John after they were a year old. Naturally we have to practice some detachment EVENTUALLY! :)
Thanks, Alicia!! Funny, but for some reason for me, it feels like it's been longer than five years. Maybe because we had already been together for four before that(?).
I'm so glad you enjoyed the rehearsal dinner & reception! Sounds like you were in good company. I love to tell the story about my (then) 3-year-old niece... late that night, as everyone was leaving the reception, she turned to my Dad and said, "Grandpa, that was the BEST party!!" Straight from the mouths of babes. That says it all! ;-)
Everything seemed to go perfectly well. The whole day ran so smoothly, largely thanks to you! It was great how you took control of many areas of the event. You helped make it such a memorable, amazing wedding. It was everything I hoped it would be. Thank you so much!!
