Bill O'Reilly and Fox News sure do stoop pretty low, don't they? Looks like they're willing to do anything -- even lie to their loyal viewers -- to secure Republican votes next month.
From The Huffington Post: Eat the Press:
"Fair & Balanced" my ass.BradBlog reports that though the "D-FL" was scrubbed for the rerun no explanation was given and, from the screenshot, the actual correction was not made; instead of being designated "R" the screen was left blank.

What Foley did was dispicable! Republican or Democrat.
What Gerry Studds did was dispicable! R or D.
In 1983, 46-year old Democratic congressman Gerry Studds was found to have sexually propositioned House pages and actually buggered a 17-year-old male page whom he took on a trip to Portugal. No one demanded Tip O'Niel be investigated - let alone punished - for letting Studds solicit the page pool for 10 years. The democrats gave Studds a standing ovation after the censure vote. Studds is re-elected 5 more times.
Foley (former democrat) goes away in shame. Democrats call for Hastert's head on a pike for NOT wiretapping a gay congressman. No one on his side of the aisle - nor on his side of the globe defends Foley. Needless to say - no standing ovations for Foley. Boy Republicans sure are mean to gays.
Hmm. Maybe by putting D Fox was just trying to HELP a gay man retain his dignity?
Hi Anon,
Thanks for the comment. I find it interesting that you chose to inform me of Gerry Studds by using my (completely unrelated) post.
First off, in 1983, I was four years old. I have never heard of Studds, much less of his alleged scandal.
Second, I never commented on Foley's behavior or on how it's being handled. All I wrote was the fact that Fox News mislabeled his party (and how I strongly doubt it was an accident!).
If, in fact, Mr. Studds had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old page, you're right -- that's despicable, not to mention inexcusable. Contrary to what you seem to be implying, I don't think I'm being hypocritical here. Anyone who engages in this type of behavior should have to face harsh consequences (and no, I don't feel that censure and a standing ovation are adequate).
Having said all that, I do believe that if Hastert was indeed aware of everything that was going on, he SHOULD be held accountable.
Shame on him, shame on Mark Foley, and yes, shame on Gerry Studds.
