San Diego's Finest
I'm at a loss for words.
This is the kind of hatred and animosity we're dealing with in San Diego... no, make that this country.
I'm so ashamed. I feel so discouraged, so hopeless. This makes me sad for my daughter, knowing what kind of people are out there, painfully aware of the kind of horrible things they may say to her, around her, throughout her life.
It's just so damn depressing.
A rally was staged to protest migrant camps that are located in a local canyon, behind some upscale houses. I believe the despicable Rick Roberts was in on the planning. Big surprise there. (The rally pretty much bombed, by the way, apparently because the owners of the land closed off the area and even sent over security to ensure that no one would trespass.) So predictable: I saw on the news today that some of the "Minutemen" were shouting epithets at members of the San Diego POLICE Department, informing them that they are a disgrace (presumably for not upholding the "law" and "dealing with" illegal immigration). Interestingly, the news reporter who covered this story happened to casually mention this just as he was about to sign off. (Boy was I glad he did!) I tell ya, it doesn't take much for these people (the "Minutemen" and their supporters) to show their true colors!

Thank you, God, again for poetic justice. I'm glad those who are living in the canyon got the word that these crazy hate mongerers would be coming. I'm grateful that they cleared out before the Minute Men & their followers arrived.
