Number Three
Update (01-21-08):
I added a short video clip from her celebration, which took place a few days before her actual birthday. We wanted to celebrate before her cousins went back home.
I was going to write up a special blog post with pictures, but I don't have my latest photos downloaded, so it'll have to wait.
For now, let me just wish my baby girl a very Happy Birthday. She is, indeed, the Love of My Life.
Sister started singing Chicago's "Just You n' Me" to Em when she was an infant. Emily responded so well to it then (by smiling and cooing) and loves to sing it with Sister now. I need to post video of this one of these days.
Emmy, our precious angel, we love you more than life itself and thank God for you.
Happy Birthday, Baby!!
[Just to explain the title of this post: When asked how old she is, Emily responds by saying, "Number three." :-)]
CHICAGO: "JUST YOU N' ME"
You are my love in my life
And you are my inspiration
Just you 'n me
Simple and free
Baby you're everything I've ever dreamed of
Yeah, yeah
Give me your own special smile
Promise you'll never leave me
Just you 'n me
Simple and free
Life is so easy
When you're beside me
Oh girl
Come hold me close
Never release me
Oh baby don't release me
Open your arms, let my love in
Let me in, let me in, let me in
Love me tonight, love me forever
And ever...

We'll have a three here in a few days too. ;) Emily is so precious. What's your due date?
Happy Birthday, Em!
I love that song. :) It must be super-cute to hear her sing it.
Emily is so precious.
Thank you!
Do you guys have any special celebration plans for Lexi?
What's your due date?
We're due the first week of March. Who knows, we may end up with a Leap Year Baby!
It must be super-cute to hear her sing it.
Oh, it is. Especially when she gets to the part, "Let me in, let me in!"
:-)
I'm able to leave a comment now that I've stopped crying over this beautiful blog and my beautiful girls (both Molly and Em). It is amazing to hear her sing it. I've been singing it to her since she was an infant, weeks old, and did not realize that she had learned the song over time--she seemed too young. She surprised me one day, some time ago, before her vocabulary was what it is now, and just started singing it with me. I love the "woa, woas" and the "let me in". She definitely inherited the drama gene her Rivera family has in spades. She is most definitely one of the most precious loves in my life and my inspiration. She is incredibly beautiful and incredibly precious to me.
