Poor Rivers

Poor guy. He played the entire time with a horribly injured knee. He even had arthroscopic surgery last Monday just so he could play (understandably so; it was obviously a very crucial game!), and now he's gonna need reconstructive surgery, which will require a very long recovery period.

It was a rough game yesterday. But really, we should be proud that we held our own so well, especially after we were predicted to lose by two touchdowns. We only lost by nine points, and that was with a severely injured quarterback (
Rivers) and our also banged-up star running back (L.T., who lives in Poway, by the way). [Tomlinson didn't even play. In fact, he's getting heat for that. His injury is nowhere near as bad as Rivers', but he chose to sit it out. Such an important game and he decided not to play in it! It's tough, too, 'cause he's really a very good guy and such a good athlete. People are pretty peeved about this, though, and understandably so.] Our coach (Turner) made a HORRIBLE call toward the end to punt the ball, which gave us no chance. We had no time whatsoever to recover. Imagine if we had a healthy team and good calls! We would've had a chance!

Oh, well. At least we got this far. It still hurts, though. It seems like the
Chargers love to do that to their fans. They kill us slowly!

* By the way, be sure to check out the short video below. (I updated the "Number Three" post.)

I TOTALLY sympathize. Our game was so heartbreaking too.

Yes, we were bummed about your game, too. We were hoping the Packers would win, mainly because we are NOT Eli Manning fans!!

Now the two teams we didn't want to win are going to the Super Bowl.

Oh, well. At least my Yankee brothers are (most likely) happy!
